Converting to Version 5

1. Do I have to change over to Version 5?
The short answer is 'No'. Changing over to Version 5 is OPTIONAL for all existing clients of the BackJack Online Backup Service. You can choose to do it today or at a later time. The change over does require that computers be operating at least OS X Tiger 10.4.10 and is Leopard compatible.

2. What is the MyBackJack administration portal?
MyBackJack is the new web-based account administration portal providing account holders greater control over their BackJack account and computer users. It allows account holders to manage their BackJack account information as well as providing internal computer technicians with self-service support for their computer users' storage and backup requirements.

3. How do I add users to my account?
- Log in to MyBackJack
- On the Home Page, click the Buy More link
- Enter the total number of users you wish to have on your account in the 'New Qty' field
- Click the 'Process Transaction' button to update your total users
NOTE - Each user must be assigned at least one 10 Gb storage block. If you require 4 users, then you must purchase at least four 10 Gb storage blocks.

4. How do I add storage to my account?
- Log in to MyBackJack
- On the Home Page, click the Buy More link
- Enter the total number of 10 Gb storage blocks that you require for your account in the 'New Qty' field
- Click the 'Process Transaction' button to update your total storage
NOTE - Each user must be assigned at least one 10 Gb storage block. However, each user may be assigned more than one 10 Gb storage block. If a user requires about 18 Gb of storage, then at least two 10 Gb blocks must be assigned to that user.

5. How do I assign additional storage to a user?
- Log in to MyBackJack
- Click on the Manage Users menu item
- Click on the username of the computer to which you wish to add storage
- Enter the number of 10 Gb blocks you wish to assign to the user in the '10 GB Storage Blocks' field
- Click the 'Submit' button
NOTE - All storage is assigned to users in 10 Gb storage blocks. If a user requires more than 20 Gb but less than 30 Gb of storage, they need to be assigned a minimum of three 10 Gb storage blocks.

6. How do I cancel my Version 4 account?
BackJack Support will be in contact with you during your changeover period. If you wish to notify support prior to contact, please feel free to email <support@backjack.com>. Otherwise, BackJack Support will confirm the completion of your change over to Version 5 and then proceed to cancel your Version 4 account. All Version 4 data will remain safely stored with BackJack for at least 30 days after confirmation and completion of your change over to Version 5.
