Privacy Policy
BackJack™ Online Backup Service
The purpose of BackJack’s Privacy Policy is to demonstrate our commitment to protect and respect the privacy of your personal information. It is our priority to provide you with an excellent customer service experience and, in doing so, we may require personal contact information. This document outlines where we gather information, what specific information we gather, why this information is collected and the steps taken to ensure this information is protected.
Where information is collected
During your visit to www.backjack.com, you may be contributing information in three different areas:
1. Undisclosed statistics gathered while you browse our site.
2. Personal information, such as an email address, that you willingly provide to us when registering for a BackJack demo account.
3. Personal information, such as contact and billing information, that you willingly provide to us when subscribing to BackJack.
What information is collected
There are two main occurrences when BackJack requests personal information. These are during both the Demo Registration and the Subscription process. We collect the following information:
* Contact information (contact name, mailing address, e-mail address, phone and fax number)
* Account Password
* Billing information (credit card information)
Why this information is collected
BackJack uses your personal information to communicate with you during the demo and subscription periods. Below are the three main reasons communication would be initiated during the demo phase:
1. To offer assistance if we notice a problem with your backups.
2. To remind you when your 15-day free trial expires.
3. To ensure our software is meeting your needs.
When you subscribe to BackJack, we use your full contact information to send you monthly invoices and minimal information about our service. BackJack also monitors your account and we will contact you if we notice a problem with your backups. Your credit card information is used to debit your account for monthly subscription fees. If your credit card information has expired or is declined, BackJack will contact you to request updated payment information (see Payment/Billing Policy for further information).
Security of Information
BackJack ensures industry standard security measures are followed to prevent loss, exploitation and alteration of data. We do not sell any of your contact information to outside parties. All financial information is encrypted during transmission and storage is only accessible by internal employees via a secure site.
