Pricing Features

Monthly Subscription Fee
The Subscription Fee is pre-paid on a monthly basis (first month payable when you subscribe) and includes one Computer ID (User) and 4 GB or 4,096 MB of native (uncompressed) data. This fee is 100% refundable should you cancel your subscription within the first 30 days.

Increase Your Storage
You are welcome to purchase additional storage with us (ie. storage beyond the 4 GB provided with the monthly subscription fee). Storage can be purchased in per GB increments and the fee charged is based on the pricing schedule outlined on our Pricing page. For example, if you want to purchase 6 additional GB (so that your combined storage total is 10 GB), then the additional monthly fee = $36.00 US (6 GB @ 6.00/GB). This fee is 100% refundable should you cancel your subscription within the first 30 days.

Determining how many GBs you need is easy:

1. Select the items (ie. files or folders) on your hard drive that you want to back up
2. Under the File menu, select 'Get Info' to determine the item's native size (you would need to repeat this step for all items you want to back up)
3. Once you have the combined total, increment it to the next highest GB and subtract the 4 GB offered by us
4. This will be the additional number of GBs to purchase
5. Example: 7.8 GB of native data incremented to 8 GB - 4 GB = 4 additional GB to purchase

Note: If the amount you have configured to back up exceeds the amount you have pre-paid for on a monthly basis, the software will inform you. You can then conveniently purchase additional storage by contacting us directly.

Activation Fee
A one-time activation fee of $25 US/$27.50 Cdn is payable when you subscribe to BackJack. This fee is 100% refundable should you cancel your subscription within the first 30 days.

Multiple User Fees
You are welcome to add more users to your Account at any time. Additional users on the same Account are only $4.00 each per month (ie. 6 additional Macs = $24 US per month). The amount of storage you have pre-paid for on a monthly basis represents the total for all users on the Account. Therefore, you may wish to purchase additional storage space if you are adding multiple users.

Sample Pricing

When you subscribe:

  • there is a one-time Activation fee of $25.00 US/$27.50 Cdn
  • you are billed the monthly Subscription fee of $17.50 US/$19.25 Cdn
  • you are billed for any additional Storage purchased (optional) - ie. if you would like to reserve 3 additional GB (so that your overall storage total is 7 GB) then the additional fee will be $18 (3 GB @ $6.00/GB)

Using the above scenario, the signup fee would be $35.50 US ($25 activation fee + $17.50 subscription fee + $18 additional storage)

Month-to-month:

  • the Subscription fee of $17.50 US/$19.25 Cdn
  • fees for any additional Storage you have purchased (if applicable)
  • fees for any additional users on the Account (if applicable)
