How to change a password

Problem

You need to change a password.

Resolution

Determine which password needs to be changed

Resolution A: BackJack Password
Your BackJack password allows you to make changes to your backup set. It also allows you to connect to our servers during a backup.
Change the BackJack Password

Via client software:
  1. Launch BackJack.
  2. Navigate to BackJack5 > Preferences from the Menu bar.
  3. Click Change Password.
  4. Enter your old password followed by your new password twice.

Via MyBackJack Admin Portal.
  1. Log into MyBackJack.
  2. Click on Manage Users.
  3. Click on the User whose password is being changed.
  4. Enter the User’s new password and re-type it.
  5. Click Submit
  6. Have the User launch BackJack.
  7. Have the User navigate to BackJack5 > Preferences from the Menu bar.
  8. Have the User click Change Password.
  9. Have the User enter the new password into all three fields.
Resolution B: MyBackJack Password
Your MyBackJack ID is used to access the MyBackJack Admin Portal.
Change your MyBackJack Password
*NOTE: Only the login owner can change their password.*
  1. Log into MyBackJack.
  2. Click on Manage Logins.
  3. Click on your login *NOTE: Only the login owner can change their password.*
  4. Click Change Password.
  5. Enter your old password followed by your new password twice.
