Symptoms
When you attempt to back up, you receive the error above.
Explanation
BackJack performs two types of software updates (one checks for new versions and one makes sure that the files on our servers match what's on your computer), but they both depend on an initial check of your Internet connection. The message you saw means that BackJack couldn't connect to the Internet when it attempted to run a backup.
Resolution
This can occur for various reasons, but is usually temporary. Check your Internet connection and then try running a manual backup. If this doesn't work, please send us your BackJack Log.
