Backup and Restore Mozilla Sunbird And Never Miss Your Project Deadline Again

Description: This article shows you where to find your Sunbird files and settings and how to backup and restore these items.

Backup:

  1. Quit Sunbird
  2. Locate the 'Sunbird' folder found here:
    ~/Library/Application Support
  3. Copy this folder to your backup media
  4. Locate the 'Sunbird' folder found here:
    ~/Library/Caches
  5. Copy this folder to your backup media
  6. Locate the org.mozilla.sunbird.plist file found here:
    ~/Library/Preferences
  7. Copy this file to your backup media
  8. You have now successfully backed up Sunbird

Do this with BackJack

Restore:

  1. Quit Sunbird
  2. Recover both 'Sunbird' folders that you backed up
  3. The folder containing the 'Profiles' folder belongs here:
    ~/Library/Caches
  4. The folder containing the 'Crash Reports' folder belongs here:
    ~/Library/Application Support
  5. Recover org.mozilla.sunbird.plist file that you backed up
  6. Copy it into here:
    ~/Library/Preferences
  7. Enter the username and password for an administrator on your computer and click continue
  8. Launch Sunbird located here:
    /Applications/Sunbird
  9. You have now successfully restored Sunbird
