Using BackJack through an Invitation

The documentation below is for using BackJack after receiving an invitation from an existing Account Owner. You must have the following information available before starting this process. This information will be included in the emailed invitation or from the person who sent you the email directly:

 

  • the BackJack Account ID
  • the Username
  • the User Password

 

Introduction

 

ACTION: Select 'Already have an Account' and click CONTINUE.

 

 

 

ACTION: Enter the information (case sensitive) and click CONTINUE. None of these fields can be left empty. If BackJack is unable to validate the information, you will receive an error message.

 

 

Change Password

 

If the person that invited you to use BackJack requested that you change your password (for security reasons), then you will be prompted to enter the current password (ie. the one provided to you by the Account Owner) followed by a new one. Note that you should document the new password.

 

 

ACTION: Enter your current password (provided to you via the Account Owner) and then a new password. Please be sure to document for future use.

 

Encryption Setup

 

 

 

To help you create a secure passphrase, we've implemented a feature that lets you know immediately how safe your Encryption Passphrase is (ie. as you're creating it). You can proceed ONLY IF your passphrase is Fair, Good or Strong. Otherwise, the 'Continue' button remains greyed out. To assist you with learning more about creating strong passphrase, please refer to the Guidelines link for tips.

 

Note: your Encryption Passphrase must be at least 8 characters in length.

 

 

Action: Enter and verify an Encryption Passphrase. Note that you cannot copy the 'Passphrase' field and enter it into the 'Verify Passphrase' field. The hint field is optional, but recommended.

 

The hint cannot be the passphrase. Otherwise, you will receive the following error message.
