Uninstalling BackJack |
To uninstall BackJack, proceed as follows:
- Locate and drag the BackJack application file to the trash (this file is typically located within your Applications folder) - Note: trash the BackJack file only at this point and not the BJAutolaunchX file (if you attempt to trash this file, it will simply tell you that it's in use)
- Keep your Applications folder open
- To remove the BJAutolaunchX file, you will first need to quit this application via either Process Viewer (Jaguar users) or Activity Monitor (Panther/Tiger users) - these applications are located via Applications/Utilities/
- Once you have opened either Process Viewer or Activity Monitor, locate the BJAutolaunchX file in the list, highlight it and then under the File menu, select 'quit process' - this will quit the BJAutolaunchX application
- Quit Process Viewer or Activity Monitor
- Navigate back to your Applications folder and you should now be able to successfully drag the BJAutolaunchX file to the trash
- Drag the entire BackJack folder to the trash (located in Users/<yourhomedirectory>/Library folder
- Drag the BackJack Preferences file to the trash (located in Users/<yourhomedirectory>/Library/ Preferences Folder/com.backjack.bjX4.plist
